I am spending all of August on a Sivananda yoga teacher training course in the Austrian Alps.
There will be four hours a day of yoga practice and pranayama (breathing excercises), meditation twice a day, lectures on anatomy and philosophy and studying of ancient yogic texts. Probably not much time for knitting though – the day starts at 5.30 in the morning and ends at 10 in the evening…
I won’t be able to access my computer, so my blog won’t be updated now until September. I am planning to keep a journal of the experience though, so will be able to share it with you on my return.
Have a great August, and I’ll see you when I get back!

How exciting! Wishing you a wonderful August and looking forward to hearing about it in September!!

I have to say I am very envious! The last few years with work and little ones I have only managed to dabble in yoga at best. I would love to be able to carve out a bit more time for that and some stillness! Can’t wait to read your posts in September.
How wonderful. I hope it goes well. x
Goodness. Not even 8 hours a day for sleep. I couldn’t do it, I literally get sick and catch anything if I don’t get enough sleep. I hope YOU enjoy it! š
(I’m surprised some yogis wouldn’t believe in proper sleep during an intensive…)
WOW! Have an excellent time! The Australian Alps are supposed to be sooooo gorgeous!
